THEMES

Everyone is invited to make a difference by proposing a presentation under the overall World Congress vision “Disability Rights and Social Participation: Ensuring a Society for all.” The United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is the key reference used in developing the themes for discussions.

The program will be organized into three blocks :

  • Key Human Rights
  • Independent Living and Social Participation
  • Implementation of the UN Convention
Many specific themes are presented for each block. It is important that the proposals address these specific themes. This will help participants, through their presentations and discussions, illustrate in a meaningful way the various achievements, projects, alliances and strategies with respect to the implementation of this new crucial international instrument.
